Palace of Catalan Music
It is a music auditorium located on the street Sant Pere Alt month in the Ribera district of Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by Barcelona architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner, one of the leading representatives of Catalan Modernism. The construction took place between 1905 and 1908, with very advanced solutions in the structure with the application of large glass walls and integration of all the arts, sculpture, mosaics, stained glass and wrought iron.
In 1997 UNESCO included the building in its relation of World Heritage.
the large skylight or lamp by Antoni Rigalt i Blanch, as a large sun-shaped inverted sphere of golden crystals in the center and surrounded by other softer tones with blue and white representing female busts.
It really is spectacular, is a must. Best of all, from our hostel is just 5 minutes walk.
